Stefan Arndt

Stefan Arndt, born in Munich in 1961, founded X Filme Creative Pool, Levy as an independent creative alliance in 1994 together with directors Tom Tykwer, Wolfgang Becker and Dani Levy. This was followed in 2000 by the founding of X-Verleih AG. He has received numerous national and international awards for his activities as a producer, including 32 German Film Awards, 11 European Film Awards, 16 Bavarian Film Awards, a César, two Golden Globes and an Oscar for Best Non-English Language Film, as well as an Oscar nomination for Best Picture.

Stefan Arndt was a co-founder of the Berlin Sputnik collective as well as a founding member of the German Film Academy, of which he was chairman until 2009. Since 2016, he has been Head of the Directing Department at the University of Television and Film Munich.
