Doctor Ballouz – Season 4

In the fourth and final season of the ZDF primetime series “Doctor Ballouz,” the extraordinary chief physician Dr. Amin Ballouz and his team face new challenges.

Dr. Ballouz has a bad feeling when the Uckermark Clinic gets a new medical director. In fact, Dr. Angela Saad has been tasked with restructuring the hospital—or closing it down. To save costs, the first step is to outsource the laundry department, which is run by Ballouz’s partner Eva. But Dr. Saad also interferes massively in the work of her chief physician, who soon finds himself competing with Dr. Barbara Forster and Dr. Mark Schilling for the position of chief physician. However, Ballouz is determined not to compromise his principles and enters into a power struggle in which only one person can win.

While Dr. Mark Schilling is also struggling with health problems and wants to work through his relationship with Dr. Barbara Forster, she finds new love in the new medical assistant Tom Renner – but she soon finds herself in a conflict of loyalty, because Tom is an old companion of Dr. Saad.

Nurse Carla, on the other hand, finally tries to break free from her violent relationship. When nurse Vincent intervenes and beats Michi senseless, he ends up in a coma at the Uckermark Clinic of all places. Only Nurse Beate is happy when she meets the attractive David – until it turns out that he has a communication disability.

In addition to his personal challenges, Dr. Ballouz and his team fight for the well-being of patients in this idyllic but structurally weak region, solving dramatic and emotional patient cases that reflect social and regional issues.
