A Berlin Hero

Berlin video store owner Micha Hartung (Charly Hübner) is on the verge of bankruptcy when he unwittingly becomes a hero overnight: on the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, an ambitious journalist (Leon Ullrich) from a news magazine suddenly makes him the mastermind behind the largest mass escape from the GDR. As an unwitting impostor, Micha finds himself in the spotlight—and even meets the woman of his dreams, Paula (Christiane Paul). He would never have thought it possible that a successful, intelligent, and funny woman like her could be interested in a simple man like him. But the budding love story, like the rest of his life, threatens to be lost in the chaos of lies and false reports.
